When Captain Richard With established the Norwegian Coastal Express in 1893 it quickly became essential for the development of the region. This service had an enormous impact on life along the Norwegian coast and continues to do so, employing generations of families and supporting local villages.

Exactly 100 years later in 1993, MS Richard With was delivered to Hurtigruten.

100 years after our founder completed his first Hurtigruten journey, the MS Richard With was built to reflect a meeting of our rich history and modern comforts for guests.

On board, there are beautiful artworks by the famous Harr family, so guests are surrounded by beauty inside and out. There are a variety of cabins to choose from, including eight junior suites on board.

From the two panorama lounges, Horisont and Syvstjernen, breathtaking views can be enjoyed of the surrounding scenery. From the outdoor explorer deck on deck seven, guests are treated to unparalleled views and glimpses of various marine wildlife.
