Moscow to Berlin


Enjoy 21 days of travel through Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Germany which includes exploring the cities and sights of iconic Moscow, St Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Berlin. Experience amazing historic palaces, castles and museums, such as Catherine Palace, Hermitage Museum and Trakai Castle.


Day 1: Moscow Arrival into Moscow Airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Later in the evening, join the rest of the group and guide for your welcome dinner.D

St Basils CathedralDay 2: Moscow Enjoy a Moscow city tour today. Including the Kremlin, we also visit Alexandrovsky Garden and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Red Square, GUM Department Store, Lenin Mausoleum and St. Basil’s Cathedral. In the afternoon we experience the famous Moscow Metro going to the historical stations along the ring line. Then we continue to Tverskaya Street, Manege Square, Theatre Square with Bolshoi Theatre and Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. We then continue along Moscow River to Sparrow Hills, Moscow State University (with panoramic views over the city) and finish with a visit to Novodevichy Monastery. B

Day 3: Moscow This morning, we visit Tretyakovskaya Gallery where you will have time to explore. In the afternoon, we go to Kolomenskoe Museum including Peter’s House and Ascension Church. Afterwards the evening is at leisure. B

Day 4: Moscow – St Petersburg After an early breakfast, we will be transferred to the train station for departure by high-speed Sapsan train to St. Petersburg. We enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of St Petersburg, including the Palace Square and Winter Palace, Admiralty, Nevsky Prospect, Kazan-Cathedral, Nevsky Convent, Smolny Cathedral and a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress and the Cathedral. B

Moscow to Berlin MapDay 5: St Petersburg In the morning, we will have an excursion to Peterhof Palace where we will see sights such as Water Avenue and Grand Cascade, Grand Palace and Parks and Marly Palace. We will enjoy lunch, and then return to St. Petersburg for our afternoon exploration of the State Hermitage Museum. BL

Day 6: St Petersburg Today after breakfast, we will go to Catherine Palace, including entrance to the Amber Workshop. After Catherine Palace, we’ll enjoy lunch, before returning to St. Petersburg. This afternoon we visit the Faberge Museum. BL

Day 7: St Petersburg - Lahemaa We leave Russia today. Once in Estonia we continue to Narva, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant before going onto Vihula. After checking into our hotel, we go on a tour of Vihula Manor. In the evening, we visit the Vodka Museum and enjoy a private tour and dinner. BLD

Day 8: Lahemaa - Tallinn We leave Russia today. Once in Estonia we continue to Narva, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant before going onto Vihula. After checking into our hotel, we go on a tour of Vihula Manor. In the evening, we visit the Vodka Museum and enjoy a private tour and dinner. BLD

Day 9: Tallinn – Valmiera – Riga We leave Tallinn today for Riga. On the way we stop at Valmiera for lunch and a craft brewery tour at the Valmiermuiza Beer Brewery. Then we continue to Riga via Sigulda. BL

Day 10: Riga After breakfast we have a full-day Riga city tour, including the Freedom Monument, National Opera House, Old Town, St. Peter’s Church, Three Brothers, Swedish Gate and Dome Cathedral and the Occupation Museum. B

Day 11: Riga - Rundale - Vilnius We leave Riga today for Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. On the way we will stop and explore Rundale Palace. Then we continue for a photo stop at the Hill of Crosses, before arriving in Siauliai for lunch. Onwards journey to Vilnius for the evening. BL

Trakai CastleDay 12: Vilnius We begin with a Vilnius city tour today, which includes St. Peter and Paul Church and Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Palace of Grand Dukes, Gediminas Tower, St. Stanislav Cathedral, St. Anna and St. Michael Church, Old University and Gate of Dawn with the Madonna of Vilnius. We finish with an excursion to Trakai Castle, then back to Vilnius for a relaxing evening. B

Day 13: Vilnius – Kaunas – Suwalki – Gizicko – Mragowa We cross the border into Poland today. On the way we will stop at Kaunas, where we will have a city sightseeing tour of the Old Town including the Town Hall, Kaunas castle ruins and Cathedral. After some free time we will continue to Mragowa. BD

Day 14: Mragowa – Warsaw Today we explore Masury Lakeland, including a visit to the famous Wolf’s Lair in Gierloz. The Wolf’s Lair was Hitler’s first Eastern Front military headquarters. This is followed by a visit to Swieta Lipka Church, before we have lunch at Reszel Castle. After lunch we will continue to Warsaw. BL

Day 15: Warsaw: This morning, we have a Warsaw city tour including the Old Town with Castle Square and King Sigismund’s Column, the Royal Castle, St. John’s Cathedral, Mermaid Statue and the Warsaw Barbican. In the afternoon, we continue sightseeing to Lazienki Park and the Palace on the Water. The rest of the day is at leisure. B

Day 16: Warsaw – Czestochowa - Krakow Today, we drive to Czestochowa for a visit to Jasna Gora Monastery. After lunch in a local restaurant, we continue to Krakow. BL

Day 17: Krakow This morning, we have a Krakow city sightseeing tour, including the Old Town with the Main Market Square, the Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University, and Barbakan. There will be some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you can either visit Wawel Castle and Cathedral or Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. B

Day 18: Krakow – Wroclaw – Poznan After breakfast, we head for Wroclaw. We will have a tour of the Ostrow Tumski, Wroclaw University, Old Market Square and Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice. After lunch in a local restaurant, we continue to Poznan. BL

Brandenburg GateDay 19: Poznan - Berlin Today we enjoy a Poznan city tour including the Old Town, the Town Hall and the Imperial Palace. After some free time for lunch, we will leave Poland and cross the border to Germany, heading for Berlin. B

Day 20: Berlin We start the day with a Berlin city sightseeing tour including the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, Rotes Rathaus, Potsdamer Platz and the Pergamon Museum. In the afternoon, we have an excursion to Potsdam with a visit to the Palaces and Parks of Sanssouci. This evening, we enjoy a group farewell dinner at a local restaurant. BD

Day 21: Berlin After breakfast, you will be transferred to Berlin Airport for your onward journey. B
