The independent travel included air, train, bus, ferry and for two weeks a hire car. The number of days we spend in each location varied, and there were a reasonably large number of hotels involved.
The MyPlanet representative who helped organize the trip was Thomas Bjerknes, who lived in Norway prior to coming to Australia. Thomas was extremely helpful in planning the itinerary, with advice that we found later to match our expectations. Time allocated to each destination, and the itinerary itself suited exactly what we were looking for.
All travel arrangements went according to schedule, with no cancellations or changes. Hotel location and standard matched the criteria we had set out – and in a few cases exceeded it.
The organized tour in St Petersburg exceeded our expectations. The hotel was extra good, and the guide friendly, knowledgeable, and had good English.
Overall we had an excellent trip, which was in no small way a result of the assistance provided by Thomas and MyPlanet. We would have no reservation in recommending both to others contemplating a similar trip.
