Lake Myvatn

This tour to one of the loveliest spots in Iceland focuses on the most attractive features of the area. Morning flight to Akureyri, from where you join the coach stopping firstly at the magnificent Godafoss waterfalls, before heading to Lake Myvatn – Europe’s largest bird sanctuary. Continue to the majestic and still-active Krafla volcano, and from there to sizzling Hverarond, famous for its bubbling sulphur mud pots. A walking tour of Dimmuborgir (Dark Castles) is next, a surreal lava park with harsh rock formations towering above. Return to Akureyri for a late afternoon flight back to Reykjavik completing a most adventurous day.

Wonders at Sea with cruise

Westman Islands

Begin your unforgettable guided bus tour from the airport and learn about the 1973 volcanic eruption that devastated the community while greatly improving the harbour. Half-buried houses are still visible along the edge of the lava flow. You will also be able to feel the heat of the earth in certain parts of the lava field.

Lava Riding Tour

This is an adventurous ride into the lava fields surrounding Mt Helgafell volcano to the old Kaldarsel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides. View rough lava fields and look for different formations in the lava, with the beautiful Blafjoll Mountains on the horizon. All riding is on excellent riding paths.
